Absolutely delicious place. Food excellent, service at the highest level, nice, cordial, professional - Mr. Roberto - a master. Lady taking the reservation should probably go for the holiday / she was not in a good mood, but it doesn't matter considering the pleasures we experienced in Cammillo at the end. Strongly recommend. Trattoria Cammillo did not disappoint.
The restaurant has been running in Chiara’s family for three generations. Turn around and look at the art pieces and pictures on the wall, it is a neighborhood staple.
The tagliatelle with meat sauce is so flavorful but not overpoweringly salty. The chestnut croquettes are great desserts to have if they are in season.
Pretty average food for the price - comparable to another trattoria round the corner but double the price. We reserved our table and was told 7pm - we showed up then and were told they weren’t open. It took 25 mins to receive the cheque after asking for it - when I asked again I was the butt of the waiters’ jokes. I loved the atmosphere but just admit to be at a loss as to how this restaurant attracted good reviews, compared to any cheaper restaurant round the corner.
Strongly suggest to make a reservation. You won’t want to miss out. Great wine, very friendly helpful staff. Muscle chickpea croquettes were really good. Steak and rocket salad was tasty. Osso buco was delicious.
Make a reservation!!! It's a must and well worth it. Our favorite whenever we visit Florence. Try the zucchini sticks! Obviously the pasta is amazing and homemade tiramisu will live in your dreams until your next visit! Our server David was a doll. Looking forward to the next time we're in Italy!! The sweetest place for our family dinner before our wedding weekend! Several months later, I’m still dreaming about this meal. Thank you, Trattoria Cammillo, for the delicious food, the quintessential Italian atmosphere, and the wonderful service! Always will be a stop for us whenever we’re in Firenze.
My partner and I arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant opened and were first in what ended up being a line of 20 people. We did not have a reservation however the wait staff found us a table in under a minute. Our waiter was an absolute gem of man! Extremely funny and accomodating, he explained his recommendations and championed our decisions. All our dishes were exceptional, paired beautifully with a great wine list that wasn’t daunting in size.

this place was delicious. We had reservations fortunately and they were packed! Definitely will stop back here next time I’m here.
